Let your fantastic journey to joy begin in Peru!
During this nine-day, eight-night journey, you will explore the magnificence and allure of Peru's ancient sites and traditional wisdom. You will visit remarkable ancient sites and engage with local Incan shamans to tap into the power of Pachamama in your life.
Day 1: Welcome to Cusco and Transportation to Chinchero Retreat Center
Upon arrival, take your time to acclimate to the altitude. If you experience any discomfort due to the altitude, please take it easy; our team is here to assist you in any situation. Once everyone arrives, we will travel to the sacred valley of the Incas, which is about a 2-hour journey to the retreat center. Upon arrival, our shamans and healers will be there to welcome us."t center; when we arrive there, our shamans and healers await us.
DAY 2: Plant Medicine and Ceremony
Today, after breakfast, we will explore the retreat center and gather medicinal plants in preparation for various healing sessions. In the afternoon, we will introduce ancient medicine led by our shaman who will explain the properties of medicinal plants from different regions of Peru.
DAY 3: Lake Ceremony:
Accessing the power of the Devine Feminine and Masculine
Day 3 will be a treat; guided by my Peruvian Shamans, we will be honored to take part in an ancient water ceremony at Chinchero. According to the Incan legend, the famous and beautiful Piuray Lake is the twin of one the most important Incas in the empire. Manco Capac, who, by order of the Inti (The Sun God), sent his sons Piuray and Huaypo to accompany the sun at sunset. And by the decisions of Inti, both became beautiful lagoons in the middle of the wide plateau of Chinchero.
DAY 4.- Pachamanca and Hot Air Balloon
Today, we will interact with local women and learn the sacred art of Purvian cooking. We will learn all the elements needed to prepare the famous Pachamanca, a traditional and typical Andean meal cooked in the ground. They will also share their gift of the weaving process and learn about the textiles.
In the afternoon, we will fly in a hot air balloon over Lake Chinchero.
Day 5: Energy Recovery Ceremony at Pumamarca Ican Fortress
Today, we will ride for about half an hour to reach this enigmatic Inca fortress close to the sacred valley of the Incas. There, you’ll have a meditation ceremony, and then we will hike for about one hour to enjoy the surrounding area.
Then, we go back to the hotel in Ollantaytambo town.
DAY 6: Hike to The Sun Gate and Stone Quarry in Ollantaytambo
Today, we will hike to the ancient stone quarry of the Incas and the Sun Gate to perform a ceremony in front of the highest glacier mountains along the sacred valley of the Incas, considered one of the protector mountains of Cusco.
Here, we will deepen the connection with Mother Earth and learn more about how the Incans revered Pachamama.
DAY 7: Incan Trail Hike to Machupicchu
We Have the chance to hike a portion of the thousands of kilometers of the Inca Trail. The section of the trail we will hike today connects straight to Machupicchu; for this hike, we will take the train from Ollantaytambo. The hike will take us about about 6 or 7 hours in total. Along the way, we will have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains; once you arrive at the Sun Gate, you’ll have the first view of Machupicchu, still from far away, and after 40 minutes, we will arrive at Machupicchu to enjoy the sunset.
In Machupicchu, we will have plenty of time to stay and enjoy the views, and then we continue by bus to Aguas Calientes.
DAY 8.- Explore the wonder of Machupicchu
The most important day: We will have an early breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes. Then we go to the bus station to take one of the early buses to Machupicchu to explore and absorb the energy of this magnetic point in the world. Once we finish, we return to Aguas Calientes town to take the train back to Cusco.
DAY 9.- Transfer to the Airport
It is the most difficult day of the journey to say goodbye. This day, depending on your flight, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport.

Leah Johnson is the author of “Finding Fantastic Joy: How Building a Self-Advocacy Campaign Led Me Out of Darkness” and has spent the last 13 years building a spiritual practice through a deeper connection with Mother Earth, ancient sites, and accessing the wisdom they hold. The portal to all of this is a strong relationship with the divine feminine and the power she offers for healing and growth. She seeks to empower others to find strength, healing, and joy by connecting with ancient wisdom, shamans and what is deep inside of each of us to empower healing and more joy.
